UNESCO made the Ironbridge Gorge a World Heritage Site because it offers a powerful incite into the origins of the Industrial RevolutionIronbridge_SL_1col_K low res

The site contains the remains of mines, foundries, factories, workshops, warehouses, Ironmaster’s and worker’s housing, public buildings, infrastructure and transport systems. It is set in the spectacular, traditional landscape and forests of Severn Gorge
