We are currently looking to appoint the following position:
Landscaping/Forestry Operative
Salary: Package circa £21.5 – £25k (depending on experience) plus pension and benefits
Working Hours: 36 hours, Monday to Friday
Contract length: Initial 12 month contract (subject to 3 months’ probation and DBS check)
Holiday: 32 Days Annual Leave
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person, with experience of working in landscaping and woodland management to join our dedicated team.
Severn Gorge Countryside Trust (a registered charity) manages 52 sites and 270 hectares of countryside and open space in and around the beautiful Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site along the River Severn in Shropshire. It aims to promote, protect and conserve it as a living landscape for wildlife, people and products. It has developed a reputation for effective and high-quality work across the full range of its land management responsibilities.
Role Summary
This role will be to deliver external contracts on behalf of the Trust across the Telford & Shropshire area.
The Trust are expanding their contracting operation and are looking for a landscaping/forestry operative to join our dedicated team undertaking a variety of contracting and landscape maintenance tasks.
On occasion you may be asked to assist in the management of the Trusts land, working closely alongside our Estate Worker and Head of Countryside
The intention is for the role to be made permanent, dependent on the performance of the contracting business.
This role will be subject to a DBS check and safeguarding awareness training.
