We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant from the Postcode Community  Trust – this is a grant-giving charity funded entirely by Players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
Our project received £20,000 from the Trust towards our ‘Paths to World Heritage’ project which aims to replace and repair damaged steps and boardwalks throughout the Trust’s landholding.
All our 275 hectares of land is open to full public access. We want to encourage as many local people and visitors to
explore this landscape to improve health and well being and experience nature and heritage. We wish to ensure that people can continue to enjoy the access to our land long into the future. To ensure this we need to replace sections of rotting timber steps and boardwalks with local stone which is more sustainable long term.
Work will start on the repairs in the spring and will be undertaken by local contractors and supported by Trust volunteers.
We would like to say a BIG thank you to the Postcode Community Trust to enable this project to go ahead.
