The new office for the SGCT is state of the art, highly sustainable building, using larch cladding from Shropshire timber , UK sheep's wool insulation, and Western Red Cedar roof shingles from Cornwall. The building is heated with firewood and a heat exchanger captures 90% of this heat for reuse within the building. It is the base for SGCT's work in managing over half the land within the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site as well as being a base for our Volunteer programme which operates throughout our landholding.
