Ironbridge Woodland Products

This is a unique initiative through which timber from the Trusts woodlands in the Severn Gorge is supplied to 6 local education and training centres. The timber is used as part of teaching programmes.

Using this timber, students not only have the opportunity to work with high-quality material, but they also learn about the principles of sustainable woodland management which are applied in their local woodland where they may have walked.

The aim is to engage people in their local woods through donations of timber: by converting rough-cut planks with the bark still attached into CD racks, bird tables and benches, participants learn the full value of their local woods.
